Scans and Digital Picture Manipulation.

What I have done below is a little special to me. You may or may not find any value in something like this. But some people do a lot of different things to help keep their lost loved ones around.

Some will get portraits of their loved ones tatooed on their bodies and some may like the idea of creating some kind of spiritual type portrait as I have done below.

This Digital picture manipulation was done for my niece and her husband, to give them some sense that my mother and father who have both passed were in some way with them at their wedding. Because obviously they were my niece's grandparents.

I presented them into the picture in a type of spiritual sense, that is why I let the background in the digital picture come through.

This is a portrait of my Mother and Father taken in the eary 1980's that I scanned onto my computer to make it digital.

This was the picture I chose taken with a digital camera to manipulate and add the presence of my mother and father into the digital picture.

This is the end result of the digital picture manipulation. As you can see in the upper left. I have added my mother and father to their wedding picture. As I said, I wanted it to appear spiritual and give my niece the feeling that her grandparents were in someway there for her at the wedding.
